Fun bridal shower ideas women will love with a unique twist for invitations, activities, decorations and menu.

Here are some easy bridal shower ideas that will make the planning go a little easier and definitely impress the bride.

Bridal Shower Invitations

  • Have an opening line on the front of the invitation, or on the envelope, such as "She said yes!" or "Here comes the bride...".
  • Have a flattering caricature drawn of the bride to use on the cover of the shower invite.
  • Take a plain invitation and enliven it with scrap booking embellishments, such as embossed flowers, vellum stickers of parasols or stick on mini gems like diamonds and pearls.

Bridal Shower Menu

  • Make the food display romantic for the occasion. Use cookie cutters to shape sandwiches into hearts or put the food in heart-shaped dishes, platters or cake tiers. Or have all the food be pink – for example, add red food coloring to cream cheese to make it pink for finger sandwiches.
  • For bridal shower cakes instead use cupcakes with a message printed in edible ink on sugar paper, “Karen’s Bridal Shower, May 12, 2011” and use lace cupcake wrappers.
  • Make the bridal shower an elegant affair and serve punch in crystal champagne glasses, have linen napkins instead of paper, use china tea cups and saucers, have a candelabra as the centerpiece and so forth.

Bridal Shower Decoration Ideas

  • Wrap the chair for the bride in pink tulle and attach, all over, real or artificial flower heads in various colors of hot pink light pink and orange.
  • In addition to a special seat for the bride at the shower, designate special seats for the bride’s mother and the groom’s mother.
  • Tissue paper flowers are inexpensive to make but in a variety of colors are visually beautiful. Make giant ones (kits are available at any craft store) and hang them from light fixtures, door ways and over the bride’s seat.
  • Purchase several wedding bell cutouts, available at any party supply store, and attach them on a string to use as a banner. Put a letter on each bell to spell out "Bridal Shower".

Other Bridal Shower Ideas

  • Have a guest book, the same way there is one at a wedding. Simply pass it around as the bride is opening up her gifts for guests to write their best wishes in. Beside the person’s name it can be noted her gift, making it easier for writing thank you notes.
  • Instead of the tradition of using a paper plate to make a hat of bows for the bride to wear once all the gifts are opened, use an old wedding veil and attach the bows and ribbon to it or make one from a child's princess tiara and a piece of tulle hot glued to it.

From serving romantic food to providing a colorful decor, there are many fun ways to host a beautiful and memorable bridal shower.
